Love by millions and fans are in large number for Gaddappa character – Chenne Gowda original name itself is forgotten today. The 80 plus years Gaddappa of ‘Thithi’ fame knows well that he is having heart problem – yet he has taken the film ‘En Nin Problammu’.

I want to live happily for numbers of days I am going to exist he says. I started a hotel for my livelihood and it was closed. At that time ‘Thithi’ was offered to me to take up ‘Gaddappa’. It is because Ere Gowda and team gave me Rs.3 lakhs for my health, I agreed to act he says.

I have acted free for ‘Tharle Villeju’ – they said there don’t have money to give. I acted without money for that film. I cannot walk long time. My right hand has no strength and I eat from left hand. I don’t ask what is my role.


I am invited as Gaddappa by many. Only in voter ID I am Chenne Gowda. I have children in the family and leading innocent family life with daughter, son in law and children.
